The team of members who attended the 2008 World Kenpo Karate Championships achieved a success of seven medals, these were TWO GOLD, ONE SILVER, and FOUR BRONZE. The medallist were  Amy Morton and Alice Seatherton who took GOLD in the 16 AND UNDER TEAM WEAPONS FORM section, Amy Morton took SILVER in the 16 AND UNDER CREATIVE / MUSICAL FORM section, Mark Williams receiving BRONZE in the SENIOR INDIVIDUAL WEAPONS section, Tony Smith, Alice Seatherton and Amy Morton all taking BRONZE in their respective categories for SPARRING. Our other team members competing  all preformed very well, some only missing out on a medal by one point. These members were Luke Morton in the 13 AND UNDER INDIVIDUAL FORMS SECTION, Lucas Sakalauskas getting to the QUARTER FINALS in UNDER 13 SPARRING. Competing as well were Matt Snell, Paul King with Mark Williams and Tony Smith in the SENIOR SELF DEFENCE section taking fourth place. Joseph Seatherton competed in the UNDER 10 WEAPONS section taking 12th place and Dan Bennett unfortunately missing out by one point in the qualifying rounds for MALE UNDER 16 SPARRING. Jenny Palmer gave a good accounting for her self in the TEAM SELF DEFENCE section and INDIVIDUAL WEAPONS. Also Andy Seatherton had a successful RANK PROMOTION passing up to the rank of 6th DEGREE BLACK BELT PROFESSOR. We would also like to thank all the parents who came across to support our team and especially Mrs Julie Seatherton who looked after the team and their attending relatives, ensuring everybody had all they needed for the full five days of events.
